| February 12, 2006 | Thanks to the new Purpfans we met at the Rusty Rudder on Feb 11!!! A great crowd, and very patient when the power went out (and took Tommy's amp with it). .. . The ensuing 'acoustic' guitar arrangement of our tunes did not slow you guys down at all!! The dancing continued until the lights came on - thanks for rockin' with us!!!! |

| April 23, 2005 | Game, set, match. On Friday Apr 22, the Purps played a 5-setter!! We came out ahead 4 good sets versus 1 so-so set (2nd set at Wild Wing Cafe). We REALLY appreciated being invited to play for the Swedish Garage customer party! It was well planned and well attended (especially for the bad weather)! You all made us feel like part of the friendly gathering, and we want to say THANKS! Hope you can work us into next year's bash (and anything in between). Also, thanks to the crowd and staff at Wild Wing Cafe! This is one of our favorite venues! |
| Feb 13, 2005 | Well, another BirthdayPalooza is in the books!! Gretchen, Duane and Janna all did it up RIGHT! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Thanks to Joe's for hosting the event, and for all of you who rocked with us and donated some bucks to the Blumenthal Cancer Center - THANK YOU VERY MUCH! We're off until the St. Patrick's Party at Boardwalk Billy's - Thurs, March 17 . . . BUT Dialed In (Acoustic Rock) will be playing again at Hawthorne Pizza the last Saturday in February. |

| Jan 8, 2005 | Welcome to the Special Purpose website!!! The new year (2005) brings new life to Special Purpose!! We have gigs every weekend in January, and the first one is already in the books! Boardwalk Billy's has officially been 'Purped'. After a long holiday break, we turned it up a notch and kept the dance floor full by tossing around some Police, Prince and Jet tunes. . . then ended the night with an impromptu ACDC / Ozzy Osbourne jam. After the show, Boardwalk Billy's asked us to play at their St. Patrick's Day blowout. .. .. so we're on for March 17, 2005! You may also notice the new logo (THANKS Patti and Geoff!) on our Home page. . . . not to mention the fact that we have a WEB SITE!! Big, happy thanks to our web mentor, Oriana!!! THANK YOU!! The site will be more fun as I learn how to add pictures, enable the email entry on the contacts page and generally make this site better.
